Warning strike

Public transport is once again affected by strikes: Bus services are operating on the basis of the NightLiner network.

Warning strike on Wednesday, February 11, 2026

The Verdi union has also called on VAG employees to take part in a second full-day warning strike on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. This will begin at 4:00 a.m. and last for 24 hours. As a result of the union's warning strike, there will be no subway or tram service in Nuremberg on Wednesday; the regular bus schedule will also be suspended.

The following will not be running:

  • All three subway lines
  • All tram lines
  • Regular bus lines

The following will be running:

We are offering a total of 16 bus lines based on the NightLiner network. The buses will depart from the main station in all directions in a star pattern:

  • Starting at around 5:00 a.m. from Nuremberg main station
  • until around 8:30 p.m. at approximately every half hour and hour
  • from around 8:30 p.m. at every hour
  • Download the bus network
  • Download the timetables
  • Overview of the departure platforms at the main station
  • Lines 82 and 83 are running according to the normal schedule; the 7:19 a.m. and 7:39 a.m. trips are canceled.

Our customer center on the distribution floor at Nuremberg Central Station and the customer service hotline are also affected by the strike. The customer center will remain closed and the service hotline will not be staffed.

More information

The bus service will be added to the electronic timetable information system as soon as possible. The data is expected to be available on Tuesday.

On Thursday, February 12, local public transport will run as usual again early in the morning.

We regret that we are unable to offer our customers our usual service during the warning strike and advise them to find out about alternatives as soon as possible if they need to travel. For example, VAG_Rad is available without restriction – depending on road conditions. For longer distances, passengers can also switch to Deutsche Bahn lines, such as the S-Bahn.

Note for visitors to BIOFACH: There is a shuttle service to the exhibition grounds from Nuremberg Central Station and the airport.

As we are affected by the strike, the service promise that normally offers the option of traveling by taxi in the event of cancellations does not apply.
