On the opening day of the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt, 28 November 2025, and on the Advent weekends, our colleagues will be happy to help you. You can recognise them by the word ‘Service’ written on their backs. 

• The Lorenzkirche subway station has limited accessibility.
• The exit via the ramp towards Museumsbrücke is closed.
• The exit towards Karolinenstraße has escalators throughout.
• The elevator goes from the platform to the passageway, not to the surface.
• Use the elevators in the Galeria (Karstadt) during opening hours (Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.). Alternatively, we recommend the Hauptbahnhof or Weißer Tum subway stations and the elevators there.
• We recommend that persons with limited mobility use the Hauptbahnhof or Weißer Turm subway stations and the lifts there to reach their destination. Anyone who is unable to travel independently due to physical disability will be transported by taxi free of charge thanks to our service promise. In this case, we ask passengers coming from both Langwasser and Fürth to get off at the Weißer Turm underground station and order a taxi via our service telephone number 0911 283-4646. The taxi will pick you up in the immediate vicinity of the Weißer Turm on Dr.-Kurt-Schumacher-Straße and then take you to the roundabout at Lorenzer Platz near the Lorenzkirche. The same applies in reverse. Anyone who cannot access the subway station without an elevator will be picked up at the Lorenzer Platz roundabout and taken to the Weißer Turm subway station. The Lorenzkirche subway station itself cannot be accessed directly as it is in the pedestrian zone.

For safety reasons, wheelchair users, people with walkers and parents with prams are expressly prohibited from using the escalators
